Fall 2026
Campaign Fellowship
Be part of a first-of-its-kind independent congressional campaign in Iowa's 1st District. As a Campaign Fellow, you'll do real voter outreach and specialize in one functional area of the campaign — all in a collaborative, student-driven environment.
The Essentials
(through Election Day)
What Every Fellow Does
Direct voter outreach is the heart of the campaign, and every fellow takes part:
Choose Your Specialization
On top of outreach, you'll go deep in one area:
Data Analysis
Work with voter data and outreach tools to target the right voters and track the campaign's progress.
Social Media
Create content and help grow the campaign's presence online.
Event Planning
Help organize town halls, event appearances, and community events across the district.
Who We're Looking For
Curious, self-motivated students who want to understand how a campaign actually works, aren't afraid to talk to people, and want a hands-on role rather than a spectator's seat. No prior political experience required.
Why You Should Join
A Historic Campaign, Built by Young Leaders.
This is a chance to take part in a unique and historic political campaign. For years, national political movements have launched out of the Iowa presidential caucuses — now it's time to start one in the U.S. House of Representatives.
If elected, Michael Bridgford would have real leverage over the bills moving through the House, because today's Congress is decided by razor-thin margins. With this power, Michael wants to put an end to partisan fighting to bridge the divide and pass common sense bipartisan legislation.
Not Your Typical Internship
We're taking a different approach to voter persuasion, and you'll learn it inside a collaborative team led by young leaders. You'll have a community of like-minded people working toward one goal: changing how politics works for the better.
